About

"Hi, I’m Tom, the owner of Apex Injury Clinic. I am a fully qualified BSc Sports Therapist and a member of the Sports Therapy Association."

About Tom

I graduated from the University of Essex, achieving a first class degree with honours and completed my dissertation analysing the effectiveness of different methods of ACL Rehabilitation, appearing on the denes list for outstanding achievement in the final 2 years.

Upon graduating, I setup Apex Injury Clinic and haven’t looked back since! Having been a sportsman my whole life, I have a real passion for helping people get back to the activities they enjoy, no matter how big or small. I love the variety of people and injuries I see everyday, both occupational and sporting, and nothing makes me happier than helping my clients succeed on their journey.

Away from work, I enjoy playing and watching football, socialising with my friends and travelling abroad to experience different cultures.

Our Mission

I setup Apex with the aim to help people of all walks of life with honest and effective therapy. I'm a firm believer in patient centred rehabilitation, and is a value I install within Apex, ensuring all approaches are suited to the patients beliefs and lifestyle.

The main aim in simple is to help you move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing the things you enjoy.

I believe injury rehab shouldn’t feel rushed, confusing, or generic. Every person who walks through our door has a different story, a different goal, and a different starting point - and your treatment should reflect that.

Whether you’re an athlete returning to sport, someone dealing with a stubborn injury, or just trying to move without pain day-to-day, we focus on clear explanations, hands-on care, and rehab that actually makes sense for your life.

Our goal isn’t just short-term pain relief - it’s to give you the confidence, tools, and support to stay active long after your sessions end.

ACL Rehabilitation

Following on from my dissertation at University, I've took further interest in improving my approach to rehabilitation, undertaking research and courses. I've helped a whole array of individuals since graduating return from ACL surgery to a variety of sports and professions.

I find a lot of people who come to me with their ACL rehab are lost and lack clarity with their rehabilitation. I follow my own protocol created through research utilising studies from an array of experts in the ACL rehabilitation field, ensuring you have the best chance of returning to the goals you want to achieve. One of the key elements of the the protocol is objective testing, ensuring we hit strength and performance markers to safely progress you through rehabilitation.

With our on-site gym, ACL rehabilitation can be as hands on and guided as you require, with 1-2-1 rehabilitation available to ensure you have the best outcomes possible.

If you feel you are lacking structure, clarity or confidence within your ACL rehabilitation, or any knee injury, please feel free to reach out and have a conversation.
